## Summary The Irish Heritage Trust is seeking a qualified contractor to supply, install, and commission a high-efficiency low-carbon heating solution at Fota House in Co. Cork. The project involves the installation of three 50 kW air-to-water heat pumps, integration with existing natural gas boilers, and refurbishment of the existing heating infrastructure.
## Scope & Deliverables * Heat Pump Installation: Supply and installation of three (3) 50 kW R290 air-to-water monoblock heat pumps. * Bivalent System Integration: Modifying the existing piping network to integrate the new heat pumps with the recently installed natural gas (NG) condensing boilers. * Ancillary Components: Installation of a 1000L buffer tank, new pumps, mixing valves, magnetic filters on each circuit, and flow/return headers. * Controls and BMS: Complete integration of the heat pump system with the existing Building Management System (BMS), including the installation of internal control modules for real-time demand management and digital monitoring. * Metering: Installation of MID-approved energy meters (heat and electrical) as specified in the technical designs. * System Refurbishment: Targeted replacement of specific underground radiant coils and modification of high-risk sections of the existing heating infrastructure.
## Key Requirements * Eligibility: The contractor must be a qualified and experienced provider of mechanical engineering installation works, with a proven track record in similar projects. * Qualifications: The contractor must hold relevant certifications and qualifications, such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). * Experience: The contractor must have experience in installing heat pumps and integrating them with existing building management systems.
