Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TenderScout collects and uses personal data when you use tenderscout.ie, subscribe to alerts, or contact us.

Who we are

TenderScout is operated by Attila Badi, trading as ABL Media Group, a sole trader registered in Ireland under the Registration of Business Names Act 1963 (registered business name number 770439). Registered place of business: 10 Merrion Park, South Hill Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 HY38, Ireland. We are the data controller. For any privacy question, email attila@ablmediagroup.com.

What we collect

When you subscribe: your email address, your subscription tier and status, and your alert preferences (for example the keywords or categories you want to follow).
Payment: subscriptions are paid through Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your subscription details. We do not see or store your full card number; your card details are handled by Stripe.
If you use the admin area: sign in is handled by our hosting platform (Cloudron) using a login session cookie.
Technical data: basic, privacy friendly usage data such as the pages you view and your device and browser type. We do not use advertising trackers.

The tender and contract data shown on the site is sourced from publicly available procurement sources and is not your personal data.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To provide your subscription and send the alerts you asked for. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
To take payment and keep accounting records. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. Lawful basis: legitimate interest, using privacy friendly analytics only.

Payments

Online payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the payment processor under its own privacy terms. We receive only the payment outcome and the subscription information needed to provide the service.

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy first, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics, and a self hosted Umami instance where enabled). These do not set advertising or cross site tracking cookies and do not build a profile of you, so this site does not need a cookie consent banner. We use a strictly necessary session cookie only for the admin login, and Stripe may set strictly necessary cookies during checkout.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and only as needed: Stripe for payments, our email provider for sending alerts and confirmations, Cloudflare for content delivery, security and cookieless analytics, and a secure messaging alert to the operator when a new subscription is created. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your subscription and contact details for as long as your subscription is active and as needed for our accounting and tax obligations, after which we delete them. You can cancel and ask us to delete data we are not legally required to keep.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email attila@ablmediagroup.com. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie).

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last changed.
